Climate: Un “2016 from the record, sara is the hottest ever” – The Republic

Marrakech (Morocco), 14 nov. – The year 2016 will mark ‘very probably’ a new record warm, as has already happened in 2015, with an average increase of +1.2 degrees celsius, compared to pre-industrial levels. This was announced by the Organization, World Meteorological (WMO). If the record will be confirmed means that 16 of the 17 years the most warm (from when they start the recordings of the temperature of the world, at the end of the XIX century) are in the current century, the twenty-first. ‘It is very likely that 2016 will be the year most hot of all those registered…with temperatures 1.2 degrees above pre-industrial levels’ and 0,88 degrees over the period 1961-1990, has reported to the organization with a statement released in Marrakech, during the Un conference on Climate change (COP22) in Morocco. The global temperature in the 2016 and’ dangerously close to the goal of the increase of 1.5 degrees of place as the limit is desirable from a Climate agreement last December. The warming trend has increased in the 2015/2016 certainly because of El Nino, the weather phenomenon that affects the Pacific; but it was mainly the emissions of greenhouse gases the result of the activity of the human factor the most important. ‘Another year, another record,’ said the disconsolate, the secretary general of the WMO, Petter Taalas. ‘Due to the change in climate, the frequency and impact of extreme events and’ increased’, he said. According to the WMO, the heating induced by human factors has contributed to at least half of the climate events catastrophic the last few years. .
