10:59 – New act of violence within a family. A San Giovanni La Punta, in the province of Catania, a man of 47 years, Roberto Russo, stabbed two of his daughters, aged 14 and 12, as they slept in their home. The youngest, Laura, is dead. The man then attempted suicide. In the house at the time of the attack there were two other children of the man who groped intervened to defend the sisters, asking for help.
