The VAT on ebooks rose from 22% to 4%, as with paper books. It ‘s got the green light from the House Budget Committee on the amendments to the law of stability presented by all groups, recast as the amendment tabled by the government.
The resources of the lost revenue, amounting to 7.2 million euro per year, will be covered by the fund for structural economic policy. “A brave and right choice for government and Parliament,” said the minister Franceschini.
