For him, the Interior Ministry triggers the protection

BOLOGNA – Professor Filippo Taddei, chief economist in national secretary of the Democratic Party and the theoretical Jobs Act, will have the protection. This was decided by the Ministry of Interior following some threats received by Taddei for its central role in reforming the government’s work Renzi. But also for the tense climate that exists in the country around the labor reform and, above all, the amendment of Article 18. The threats is open for a few weeks in the prosecutor’s office in Bologna an investigation file, to be paid at the time of unknown.

Taddei, Bologna, born in 1976, married and father of three children, is a professor at the American University Johns Hopkins, a researcher at the College Carlo Alberto. After supporting the motion of the Congress of Civati, in December 2013, was chosen by Renzi as the coach who would be in charge of economy and work for the party. A position he held even after the appointment of former Mayor of Florence to the premier.

The role of the young professor from Bologna in the development of the Jobs Act is central to this is that someone has targeted. It is especially the amendment of Article 18 not to go to the genius who, in recent weeks, has sent personal threats, some of which also appeared on the internet. These are crucial days for the reform just yesterday met the Commission meeting to discuss the bill. But Article 18 has always been a hot topic in this country. The debate in recent times has overheated. In addition, it fell to Taddei just read in the national leadership of the Democratic Party agenda in which they changed the rules on dismissals Article 18.

The reaction of a piece of Country to this modification, as is known, was very hard. And it also happened that Taddei was attacked directly and publicly in the streets and on the web for his role and his positions. Then came other threats, heavier and non-public ‘ticket’ found near his home, of which they were informed the police headquarters in Bologna and the Interior Ministry. Putting all these elements together – the climate of the country, often very harsh words spoken publicly against Taddei and threats – security managers have decided that the professor from Bologna had to be defended and controlled. The decision is very recent. Taddei will not have a real basis, but a protection (a less invasive form) that will ensure the safety of himself and his family until the Police will judge this need.
