Palermo, July 28, 2015 – Piero Messina and Maurizio Zoppi, journalists of the weekly L’Espresso, are being investigated on charges of “publishing or dissemination of false, exaggerated or tendentious, likely to disturb public order”.
Registration under investigation refers to the publication of Espresso interception of the President of Sicily Region, Crocetta, where his personal physician Tutino, he said that “Lucia Borsellino be made out as the father. ”
To Piero Messina is also accused of slander, for having claimed a source, from which it would be denied, however. Palermo prosecutor Francesco Lo Voi had already said that the interception is not the acts of the prosecution but the Espresso has always insisted on the existence of the conversation while claiming not to be in possession of it.
The two reporters , accompanied by the lawyer Fabio Bognanni, they went to the courthouse and made use of the right to remain silent, before the prosecutor and all’aggiunto Leonardo Agueci. The two journalists also will be heard by the Order of Journalists of Sicily.
Crocetta reiterates: the phone does not exist – “I have no registration. – Said the president of the Region of Sicily by Vulcan where he is a holiday – What they did to me is terrible. ” The lawyer of Crocetta, Vincent Lo Re, announced a damage compensation claim of 10 million euro against the weekly L’Espresso.
