Earthquake: shaken 3.9, evacuated some of the schools – BEND.it

A strong shock was felt in the area of earthquake of Marche just a few minutes before 13. The earthquake was felt distinctly in Ascoli Piceno, in the province of Macerata. Yet given the magnitude and the epicenter.

The quake, of magnitude 3.9 was recorded at 12.52 in the area of Umbria and Marche. In particular – according to data from the national Institute of geophysics and volcanology – between Norcia and Castelsantangelo sul Nera. At the time the fire brigade of Perugia, there has been no reports of further damage.

In some schools they are taken the procedures of the evacuation of children and young people, for prudential reasons. It happened for example in the comprehensive school ‘Malaspina’ of Ascoli Piceno, where the elementary school children had done a tutorial earthquake just before the shock. A few

seconds after the ‘kick’ of 13:13 the simulation has become real, with several parents rushed to take their children in advance. No damage, no collapse, but the umpteenth proof that with the seismic swarm that started on the 24th of August last, one must learn to live together perhaps for months.
