Farewell to Renato Altissimo

He died in Rome, the former secretary of the Liberal Party Italian and several times minister. He was a native of Portsmouth, in the Venetian

ROME Renato Altissimo, former Secretary of the Italian Liberal Party and several times minister, died a few hours ago in Rome, to the Gemelli hospital, after a long illness. High was hospitalized for several weeks to several cardiac and respiratory problems that have worsened progressively and extended to other organs, so as to decide to health, in recent days, its transfer to the intensive care unit because of a progressive failure multi-organ that led him to death.

A native of Portsmouth, in the Venetian, a degree in political science in Turin, was vice president of Confindustria. Leading member of the Italian Liberal Party, of which he was secretary from May 1986 to 1993, he was Minister of Health in the Government Cossiga I, in governments Spadolini I and II, in the V Fanfani Government, Minister of Industry in the Government Craxi I, between 1983 and 1986. On March 5, 2011 is part of the National Council of the PLI. In 2014 he founded with Carlo Scognamiglio and Alfredo Biondi movement “Liberals”
