Gentiloni: save Christians – TGCOM

– “Take action against the persecution of Christians and in support of religious minorities should be done in every way and without excluding the military option.” He said the Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni. But at the same time Gentiloni tabled other possibilities: “Do not rule out the military option is definitely the title but not the only answer to terrorism nor the decisive answer.”

 Gentiloni: we have to save the Christians& Quot; But the military option is not the only & quot;

“We need more work on land” – Speaking to Radio I, too, the minister stressed that the country “is already involved for several months” in a military operation in Syria and anti-Isis in Iraq “with the permission of Parliament.” Moreover, he added, the fight against terrorism must be conducted with “interventions on more land.”

And again: “Within the Muslim community c ‘is a conflict between Shiites and Sunnis that we must try to moderate, there are operations to combat the financing of the groups, there is the dimension of economic cooperation “. Gentiloni then referred also to humanitarian aid to refugees and collaboration between universities stating once again that “when we say we can do more does not mean to put hand to the guns.”

“No to wars or invasions in Iraq as” – “In the past there have been military interventions that have spelled anything but conclusive – added the Minister – but indeed have aggravated the situation.” He concluded: “We are not talking of new wars or invasions such as those in the past, for example, in Iraq.”
