“Neither cuts nor new taxes.” Critical opposition and left Dem
Rome, 7 Apr. Prudente on estimates, cautious about the possibility of a “treasure”, but Matteo Renzi on one point shows no doubts: ” With this government as long as the politicians demanded sacrifices to citizens is over. ” Why in Def 2016, presented today in CDM, “there are no tax increases” and there are not any cuts to services: “Who writes – warned the prime minister – wrote the false”.
Struggling with conflicting data on the recovery, Renzi then choose the style of the ‘good father’, waiting to commit resources still uncertain: the data on growth is a “prudent 0.7%”, although “there are no estimates on the ‘ 1% “; the voluntary disclosure “will arrive a few billion, but we have just written a euro”; and also by the spending review the government writes in Def 10 billion coming in, “but we think there is room for up to 20 billion.”
The idea being that when the Prime Minister will discuss the law of stability, “in September-October”, you will see how many resources will actually be available “and reflect on where to put the money” to sterilize the safeguard clauses, “or to reduce taxes, or perhaps invest in certain priority at that time will seem appropriate. ” Whereas the first point, that avoid triggering the VAT increase in 2016, it is already a step ahead: “We safeguard clauses” worth “1%” of GDP: “Of these we imagine that it 0 , 4% will be covered by growth and lower interest payments. ” In any case, “the safeguards that have been provided will be totally eliminated.”
The rest of the “treasure” (but do not call it so, “bad luck”), Renzi has to cash it precisely with voluntary disclosure and the spending review. But beware, the public spending cuts – ensures Renzi – will not affect the “flesh of the citizens”, but on the “inefficiency of the PA.” And if the local authorities will now have reduced their budgets, it is only because “you will reduce the functions” that must accomplish: “And if we cut some armchair on the boards of the municipalities, the citizens do a favor.”
The municipalities protesting, Renzi still promises a meeting, and the ANC president Piero Fassino looks at the positive aspect: “The prime minister goes to meet our needs,” says the TG3, but “need a dl local authorities to solve problems open. ” In any case, “we only ask to be put in a position to provide services to citizens.”
The ally Angelino Alfano promotes Document, which opens space for “further reductions in taxes for families and businesses” . Not so the opposition, as the left of the Democratic Party. Stefano Fassina for the Def “confirms the recessive line” of the government’s economic policy. Hard forzista Brunetta, for which “tax Renzi as always tells bales”, while the numbers of Def “are just illusions.” Extremely directed Matteo Savini: “Fuck liar serving Brussels.”
