Three workers were burned this morning in Rome as a result of an explosion while working in a tunnel services. It ‘happened in the square Dunant’s Gianicolense. One would be in serious condition. From the preliminary information, it appears that you have fallen into a manhole to carry out plumbing work and within the explosion occurred. On-site fire department, police, police and traffic wardens.
Blaze possibly caused by gas – It had fallen to four feet deep to make the hydraulic controls the workers were injured . From the early findings of the fire is apparent that the outbreak, followed by a blaze may have been caused by a “gas bag” after “breaking a bulb” that would act as primer. How reconstructed so far, the three – after making a measurement of the gas which had given negative results – they mounted a generator for light, but soon after there was a blaze. The three workers were burned are employed by an outside contractor who was doing work on behalf of ACEA.
