A roar heard even in the distance, that has led many residents to rush to reach the site of the explosion. So say some of the inhabitants of via Villamagna, in the municipality of Bagno a Ripoli, where last night collapsed a detached house: be safe, if injured, a man and his two daughters. The mother was found dead after hours of excavation among the ruins. The explosion occurred at around 20.30. The house is in a hilly area, not far from the other houses.
The man and the two daughters, 7 and 10 years would have reported burns and a suspected poisoning. The father was transported to the hospital of Careggi, the two small should both go to the pediatric Meyer. The house affected by the explosion, a detached house, ground floor and first floor is completely collapsed. It is part of a sort of village farmhouse, in the village Nurse, in the hills.
For the research of women has been used a dog molecular. Amongst the rubble are operating in three teams of firefighters with canine units. It was also requested the intervention of the team Usar medium, specialized in the search and recovery of people under the rubble. The house, explain the fire is completely collapsed following the explosion, probably due to a gas leak.
“The relief efforts were immediate,” explains the mayor of Bagno a Ripoli, Francesco Casini, but, as if it were an earthquake”.
