The Democratic Party wins Marche, Puglia and Tuscany. It keeps Umbria. But it lost soundly in Veneto, a region that remains firmly in the hands of the League. In Campania result still in the balance although De Luca seems to have started to win over Caldoro.
That would mark a 2.5 for the center in this election.
But the worrying for the premier Renzi is the loss of Liguria, where the rift with the internal minority is becoming increasingly poisoned.
Here Giovanni Toti – with the support of ‘entire center – ripping the region at the center, divided and prey to rancor and recrimination. Toti gets 34 percent; Raffaella Paita stops around the 28; Alice Salvatore, 5 Star Movement, close to 25 percent.
In Campania the Democratic Party candidate Vincenzo De Luca is ahead with 40 percent. It has a lead of about two points on Stephen Caldoro, outgoing governor in the center portion. In third place, Valeria Ciarambino (M5s). In Tuscany, the former governor Enrico Rossi of Pd exceeds the 40% necessary to ensure victory in the first round. Behind him, Claudio Borghi, candidate of the Northern League, at around 20 percent.
With 2,400 votes counted on sections 4016, the candidate of the center in Puglia, Michele Emiliano, has already swept. The former mayor of Bari currently has more than 47.2%, followed by Francesco Schittulli (18.3%) and the candidate of the M5S, Antonella Laricchia (18.1%). Adriana Poli Bortone, supported by Forza Italy, is 14.47%.
Catiuscia Marini is officially governor of Umbria. The president still wins with 42,78% of the votes. The candidate of the center, Claudio Ricci, stops at 39.27%.
In the Marche instead check Luca Ceriscioli, candidate of the Democratic Party, who was elected governor with 41.1%.
