Greece, Merkel agreement still possible if Athens shows will – Reuters Italy


       

BERLIN (Reuters) – According to German Chancellor Angela Merkel is still possible to reach an agreement between Greece and its creditors.


       

Speaking in parliament, Merkel said that Germany’s efforts are focused on keeping Greece in the euro, adding that Athens must be pursued with determination reforms.


       

“I still think: where there’s a will, there’s a chance,” he said.


       

“If those in power in Greece manages to convey this desire, an agreement with the three institutions can be” continued the chancellor, referring to the EU, IMF and ECB.


       

Merkel stressed that Greece was on a good path but there has not been completed and that unfortunately the structural reforms in the country have been postponed.
