So the Democratic Party has no center back Berlusconi central – Il Giornale

Last summer, the question was whether or not there was a written agreement of the Nazarene and what were the possible boundaries. Twelve months later, still in the middle of August, it’s all run-up to support or deny that the Nazarene – went to hell in January with the election of Sergio Mattarella the Quirinale – can resurrect here shortly. A circumstance, this, that would allow Matteo Renzi to give the green light to the reform of the Senate that the Prime Minister now seems to want to tie the fate of the entire legislature.

Twists and turns, then. With a detail. It is because the signals of new convergences reached on the appointment of top Rai or simply because the numbers of the Senate certify an objective weakness of the government, what is certain is that Silvio Berlusconi finds himself once again at center stage. To the point that Lorenzo Guerini has openly invited to “return to the table” negotiations. “We are patient and wait,” he came to tell the deputy secretary of the Democratic Party. So, are the days the newspapers bounce background and interviews in which it is assumed that not only the leader of Forza Italy can sit at a table with a Nazarene Renzi, but also that he is thinking whether to side with the minority Democratic Party to sign a kind counter -Nazareno so scuttle the bill Woods – and then the government – when October arrives in the Senate.

In short, everything and its opposite. The ambassadors who are told to work hard – on the front row there would be Gianni Letta Fedele Confalonieri – and a long list of file – from tax reforms, going well for justice – on which Berlusconi could decide to lay the foundations of a new covenant with Renzi.

In truth, the situation seems still quite smoky. Yet the protagonists of the game – not only the prime minister and the leader of Forza Italy, but also the big names of the minority Democratic Party from Pier Luigi Bersani – do not seem to be clear. For every action, in one way or another, are in fact the political costs and the feeling is that all are still doing their assessments. Of course, there is that Berlusconi has resumed its centrality. And that despite three divisions from the beginning of the legislature – before Angelino Alfano, then Raffaele Lease and finally Denis Verdini – its 45 senators can still be decisive.
