(Agency VISTA) Milan, 17 August 2015 – courtesy NETWORK 7 – German Chancellor Angela Merkel visited the Expo in Milan. She was met at the entrance of Pavilion Zero by the Prime Minister, Matteo Renzi, the Agriculture Minister, Maurizio Martina, Commissioner of Expo, Giuseppe Sala, and the prefect of Milan, Francesco Paolo Trim. Angela Merkel is accompanied by her husband, Joachim Sauer. Matteo Renzi by his wife, Lady Agnes. Angela Merkel asked what are the plans for the next Expo. The sole commissioner of Expo, Giuseppe Sala, has explained that its Pavilion Zero could be one of those candidates to remain even after exposure. Prime Minister Matteo Renzi after the Expo instead commented: “We were in time for Expo and we shall be also in the future.” Renzi joked with the Chancellor: “Let me check the spread,” he said. 7.
