GREECE CRISIS: officials, resign Tsipras’ resignation today (WSJ) – BBC

17:38 ATHENS (Dow Jones) – The Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras intends to resign this evening to open the door to early elections in an attempt to strengthen its majority and thus the ability ‘to implement the agreement on the rescue of the country. They said two officials from the Government to the Wall Street Journal, stating that Tsipras intends to tell the Chief of Prokopis Pavlopoulos can not ‘more’ to continue the post of prime minister because of the lack of a stable majority government in Parliament. The premier then propose ‘on September 20 as the date for early elections, said an official. The decision on the date it is always the president.
