One person died in the first of two serious accidents that, from about 2 last night, they have led to the closure of the A1 towards Bologna between Piacenza and Parma south. Occurred shortly before 24 at km 102, it involved a car and more heavy vehicles: it was necessary to close the section between the connection with the A15 and Parma.

THE REOPENING – It is scheduled for noon reopening dell’Autosole stretch between the junction with the A21 Turin-Brescia and Parma, closed for two incidents last night that caused a victim, three wounded and long queues, with the overturning of heavy vehicles and serious repercussions also on the Via Emilia. This was announced on its website the company Autostrade for Italy.

THE QUEUE – There are still 13km of the queue, they are flowing out through an exchange of roadway, all ‘ inside the closed section of the A1 between the junction with the A21 and Parma, after the double accident in the night involving cars and trucks, resulting in one death, three injured and traffic blockages south.

WATER – The Civil Protection personnel and Autostrade for Italy were immediately put into action to assist motorists stuck in A1, at first to ‘interior of the closed section, then the queue for the compulsory exit back to Piacenza south. Three kilometers of tail reported further north, between Parma and Fidenza.

THE INCIDENT – At 1:30 am it was then determined in a rear tail to the first incident, “regularly reported “precise Autostrade for Italy, involving three lorries and a car: the heavy vehicle carrying live pigs overturned occupying much of the roadway with load dispersion. The three occupants of the car involved, two were rescued in serious condition, the third – a girl – she was injured so mild. Autostrade for Italy advises users already traveling on the A1 towards Bologna follow the A21, then continue on the A7, A12, A11, with subsequent return to the A1 at the Firenze. Users are not even on the road and headed to Bologna are advised to delay departures, or alternatively take the A4 to the junction with the A22, and continue on the same motorway south to the junction with the A1.

PIGS – On the site of the accident are still ongoing operations for the safety and recovery of pigs scattered by veterinarians ASL and specialized enterprises, as well the activities of removal of vehicles involved. Also involved the municipal police of Parma. In the stretch it closed, between Parma and Piacenza south, there are 13 km of the queue as a result of the previous compulsory exit disposed at Fidenza. The queues at the exit of the current mandatory Piacenza south are less than one kilometer. Serious repercussions on the circulation even on the Via Emilia heading south. Since the first accident – says Highways – was activated distribution of water users in the queue by the staff of the Directorate of Civil Protection and second trunk Milan Autostrade for Italy.
