Born in Turin on March 23, 1922, was appointed Constitutional Judge on Jan. 25, 1982, then coming to chair the consultation from 18 October 1990 until February 3, 1991. It ‘been a member and vice president of CSM for a few months in 1981 and minister Justice in 1993-94. On 3 February, as a witness to the negotiation process on the so-called State-Mafia, he did not attend for health reasons.
