Corruption: arrested police officer, and 2 officers Ministry of Interior – LOOP.it

A policeman and two officials of the Interior ministry were arrested this morning in Savona with the accusation of corruption, from the police. They accepted money and gifts in exchange of concessions for various practices: issuance of residence permits, change of name, reduction of days of suspension of the licence. In addition to the policeman and the two officials were arrested with three other people: a moroccan, Albanian, and Italian.

The policeman, the accused also submitted in the facilitation of prostitution, and the moroccan have been subjected to remand in prison, while the two officials of the Interior Ministry are under house arrest, such as the Italian, who has been accused of exploitation of prostitution, and Albanian. The investigation started in December 2015, when in the course of another

investigation emerged contacts suspicions between some suspects and the policeman. According to investigators, “the policeman and the two officials of the ministry would systematically abused of their functions by facilitating practices in exchange for money, but also gifts, such as clothes, phone cards, dinners, and recruitment of friends, medical visits, costs free in the shops.
